Pass the Point

A clear, white sail slowly makes its way through the misty atmosphere of a grayed distant shoreline. Layered colors, wet-into-wet washes, spattering, cardboard masks, pen painting and dry brushing all play key roles in this northern shore landscape.

Homeward Workshop

A calm lagoon with a misty summer sunrise. Cormorants fly toward the far coast across the morning sun. Washes are in control in this painting. Colors layered on top of one other give an optical effect. Dry brush finishes the work.

Waiting for a Hit Workshop

Calm water in the early morning mist. Anticipation of a good day’s fishing is on their minds.   Wet-into-wet, dry brush, masking fluid, pen painting, and lots of texturing techniques bring this project to life.
